Costa Rica Vacation .. Where to go?

me and my girlfriend are going to Costa Rica, and after much research, I can not decide yet what region of the country who want to go. Im will not be long enough (3-5 days) to travel the country a lot so I wanted to kind of stay in one place and excursions. We want to be near or on a beach, and we want to be near the best variety of wildlife that Costa Rica has to offer. I am very interested to see the waterfalls of the volcano and diving and water, can you recommend a place that offers the best variety of wildlife that Costa Rica offer?
