It Loiza, Puerto Rico, a safe place for 6, adventurous young people 22 years of residence?

Vacation rentals are not affordable and very nice, especially for the poor 6 students do not seek to travel on a budget. However, in my search for Loaiza to date, many people have suggested it is a dangerous place to be (although there are a number of other proposals is very good). There are occasional tourists by any medium (three of us spent three months traveling Europe, three of us spent two weeks in Belize, a couple of us went to Costa Rica for two weeks, another spent a week and a half in the Dominican Republic, for example) but it is still a little worried. Here's the deal as I see it. Rentals Vacation Condo in Loiza are in a development that is beautiful (I guess that's what you need and not in a small house in the city or something). You throw in this resort paradise and is safe and great. Outside the community of condominiums, Loaiza is a poor neighborhood. She has her problems with drugs, violence, crime. But if you walk in these small local bars late at night in search of action, not I think you have a problem. You'll meet wonderful people in the city. Nightlife, shopping, eating, etc. during the day and night. But I did not spend too much time Loaiza outside the locality in night. I suggest you go hang out in clubs in pine, or San Juan (Isla Verde, Condado, OSJ). Many people, and fun. And it's not there. Of course, you must use the common sense of safety anywhere. You'll have no problem of driving in and out of Loaiza.
