Costa Rica Vacation Rentals Tamarindo

I take a vacation in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Any pointers or advice?

We will stay one week. I would like advice or guidance Where to eat and what to do. We stayed in a condo near the beach of Tamarindo and you have a rental car. Thank you!

Stay away Tamarindo! The place is infested with drug dealers and thieves. The problem of wastewater is out of control here. Too much trash! Go to Playa Flamingo just above the road. Mary is a great chicken place near Flamingo Beach. The Flamingo Beach Resort has music and dance. If you are Brassilito (a little further north), who can do a tour of four hours a bike ride zip line, lots of fun and see up close and personal with the rainforest. Hotel has a very good Brassilito letter from a small hotel. Playa Conchal is right next Brassilito. Quite an experience to see the range of shells. Great hotel away with entertainment. Forget seeing the volcanoes. All are involved in a fog most of the year, but the hot springs in Arenal are great. Stay away from San Jose because it has a major problem and the flight is impossible to navigate the streets, even with a map.
