Costa Rica Tourism Statistics
Where can I find statistics on tourism in Costa Rica?
Many of the sites I found are in Spanish, so that even I'm sure if they have what I need. I am seeking information on the tourism market and industry. I need information very detailed, such as the type of tourists visit (age, gender, income … I found most Americans, but I can not find more details). In addition, research from the time of the year tourism is the highest and lowest would be a great help (monthly statistics if possible). If anyone knows of an event which the market research and analysis would be useful. Thank you
With the tourism industry of the United States $ 1.97 billion per year, Costa Rica stands as the most visited country in the Americas region, with 1.974 million foreign visitors from 2007, reaching a rate of foreign tourists by ca-pita than 422 visitors per thousand inhabitants, one of the largest in the Caribbean Basin countries, 2007, and other popular tourist destinations such as Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Brazil. The number of tourists visiting Costa Rica in 2008 reached the mark of 2 million and tourism receipts increased by U.S. $ 2.2 billion.
