information surfing in Peru?

Me and some buds are planning a surf trip to Peru. We'll go in early April for one week. Has anyone sailed to Peru? If yes, how was it? What part of Peru is the best for surfing? Went Costa Rica in March and liked the smaller towns hidden. I would find a place that has good waves far from the city. In addition, you are required to obtain a vaccine before going to Peru? Please indicate their sources! Thank you very much!

In Peru there are few places to surf on the north coast. Huanchaco is a small town outside of major Trujillo. A good meal and a large community of expatriates who likes to party. Medium size but consistent waves. North there is a spot of surfing the longest wave in the world. Forget name. And north of Mancora, a huge surfing waves with incredible destination. It'sa bit of a party town with a large number of tourists, but if you want to navigate Peru, Mancora is by far the best place.
