Houses in El Salvador? Central America or the Caribbean?

My husband and I are thinking about leaving Florida and moving to another country. Always follow house hunters international show Americans moving to other countries and learn. We studied a large number of countries like Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, etc., but I found that many Americans have moved there too and the prices are not so good market than we think. Now we are looking for El Salvador, but I can not find any information on real estate and properties for sale there. We have a total of $ 150,000 that we want to move (which is not much) and looking for a house or near the beach or anywhere in Central America or the Caribbean. I am Cuban and my husband is black, then we are also Looking for a place that is friendly and open to Americans. We also have two daughters in elementary school (who barely speak Spanish) so we need a place it is safe. Any suggestions on where to go and watch?
