Costa Rica Rainy Season Travel

Costa Rica in late September to early October?

My boyfriend and I decided to spend our honeymoon in Costa Rica is and will be there from from September 30-10 September. We understand that this is the rainy season, however, the Caribbean region can not be that bad. We try to plan Travel and decide exactly where to stay and do. Defintalhy We want to make a few turns of wildlife, rafting and lodging. But I also want to be able Anyone hit a beautiful beach in advice on things to see around this time? is the best way to travel? If we flew to San Jose and stay for a few days, if that renting a car and be able to drive to other places? Our budget is about 2500, once we get there. Tips for planning trips would be greatly appreciated. We can not wait to get there, but they are pretty nervous about the rain …. Thank you in advance

My advice is to avoid spending a few days in San Jose. If you like museums, spend a day to the museums, then go to the East Coast. San Jose is a great city and not a lot of fun. There are areas of high crime (as in all large cities), traffic is horrible and really not much to do in terms of tourism (with the exception of the museums are fantastic). Also, do you propose rent a car and instead use the shuttles. Driving in CR is not the same as driving in the United States. The roads are not always good, fires traffic does not always exist, and the last time I was there I had to cross a bridge that was under construction and traffic was crossing 2×4. Ok, maybe they were not 2×4, but it looked and was very happy that I was not driving. San Jose is the third in the world by traffic accidents (after one of my taxi drivers) and to be honest I do not want. I like having someone else drive and navigate, knowing that I'll get where I'm going Emmers just for me on stage. Not only that, but all activities that I did I picked it up in my hotel. Many tourists do not rent a car, sailing is often a problem, just pick up. It rocks. Door to door service. And if you want to do something about yourself, call a taxi. They are very reasonable. In choosing a location to make your "base", I highly recommend locating near a national park. The landscape is beautiful, abundant wildlife, Accomidation and tourist activities available, and many people who speak English. Tortuguero National Park is one that I think you enjoy. Both hiking and activities navigation. The fauna is good and just a nice place to be. You miss the rainy season for this area and there is much to do.
