I walk and camp in the Sahara Desert in Libya for Canadian mountain jungles. One very important consideration prior to camp outdoors or hiking travel safety. The most effective way to prevent accidents and stay safe is to properly prepare for the trip. Knowledge of the region, climate, terrain, limitations of his body, plus a little common sense can help make your camping or hiking fun and safe.

Hike Here twelve o'clock tested and camping tips based on my experiences of many in the wild:

Travel Companion Leave a copy of your itinerary someone responsible. Include such details as the make, year, and registration of his car, the equipment we bring, the time you have planned, and when you expect to return. You do not want to be only in the case of an emergency. If you enter a remote area, your group must have a minimum of four persons, so if you are injured, you can stay with the victim, while two aid. If you enter a area that is unfamiliar to you, bring someone who knows the area. Or at least talk to those who do before you leave. If an area is closed, do not go there. Knowing in advance the location of the nearest phone or keep the station in an emergency occurs on your trip. If Mobile phone reception seems possible, carry your phone.

Make-Sit ups. Get in good physical condition and then make a comfortable pace while walking. If you have a medical condition, discuss your plans with your health care provider and get approval before leaving. A group trip should be designed for the weakest members of the group. Make sure you have the skills you need for your camping or hiking. You may need to know how to read a compass, build a temporary shelter or give first aid. Train yourself in advance. If your trip will be arduous in good physical condition before leaving. If you climb or travel to high altitude.

Keep your balance. This is important not only on cliffs, but in all areas with slopes and open spaces. Trees and shrubs can not always trust that you have. Stay on trails or in a developed dry, solid as a rock on the right foot.

When lifting, lowering it may be twice as bad. Once it became caught in trapped on a cliff near the small beach in North Africa, near Tripoli as a boy scout. A scout leader has been saving me. Transfer is easy, like memory, but turned to the descent seemed impossible.

Wear the right clothes for the track conditions and the season. Once up the Appalachian Trail Virginia in what began as a beautiful fall day. But half of the camp area an ice storm struck. I was NO prepared with appropriate clothing and was a miserable experience.

Check your computer. Keep equipment in good working condition. Check before you travel. Do not wait until you're on the road. Be sure to pack emergency signaling.

See climate. Keep track of current and expected weather conditions. In this area, the weather can change very quickly. weather Know the signs of storms or change. Avoid heads bare ridge, exposed places, lone trees, streams, and rocks during lightning storms. Find refuge in a forested lower elevations. Even in summer, exposure to wind and rain can cause hypothermia.

Aid Master the basic learning to recognize and at least partially treat injuries and diseases. Keep a first aid kit with you. Learn identify symptoms of heat exhaustion, heat stroke, hypothermia and dehydration, and know how to treat them.

Road which stops outside the camp together and dark. Traveling after darkness has resulted in numerous tripping and accidents decline. Travel only during the day. Set up camp away from the edge of the cliff, and learn the terrain during the day. If you have to leave the camp at night, remain in areas that have seen the light of day appointment with a friend, and always use a good flashlight.

Take it easy and take your time to avoid tripping. The lowest branches are variable and land insecurity race, and leaves can hide under the slippery areas. I used to train for the National Ski Patrol in North Carolina by running up and down mountain trails, but it is the rare exception.

The Walking alcohol and never mixed. If you drink, stay away from the trails and especially the cliffs. Judgement, agility and balance are compromised by the consumption of alcohol.

Think before you drink the water. Yes, you can look great. But regardless of clean or pure stream water looks, it is likely to contain water-borne parasites and microorganisms. These creatures can cause unwanted discomfort and sometimes serious illness. Pack water, boil or purify through chemical treatment.

Follow these simple tips, and then just go out and go!
