Costa Rica Music Education

Overall, education is outside the U.S. better?
Please do not misunderstand not. I do not want this sound in any way degrading to Americans. It's just an observation: I have to Nicaragua and grade Preschool in Costa Rica. I remember my teacher taught me in Nicaragua that writing was clean and good manners essential to my success. In Costa Rica, I learned of addition, subtraction, division and multiplication of the music while taking courses to learn play the flute and read notes. I also took courses in world geography. When I arrived in the United States, was a bit of a shock in the second level, children begin to learn addition and subtraction and had no music lessons, or geography. In addition, some students had horrible handwriting. As I grew up and shared what I learned with my father I met who was much more advanced topics I was doing at all grade levels. Now an adult, I find that even many adults do not know anything about geography. What do you think?
When it comes to grades K-12, I think most schools outside the United States have a better program. These schools are very demanding their students, they are forced to lots of homework. I went to school in China for several years and generally have few hours of homework each day. Here in the United States, the task is limited to about 30 minutes because students complain too much and adults do not think they are helping students by assigning more homework. But from experience and common sense, the purpose of the task is to increase intelligence. I guess that is why the United States not so good in comparison with schools in other countries. But this applies only K-12. United States have some of the best universities in the world. People invest so much money to these schools (private universities) that do not require to instruct and educate people more intelligent. These schools also provide students with many accessories and equipment students to explore their interests. So overall, the comparison between American schools and external must be separated. Grades K-12 must be improved, while schools are striking.
