Costa Rica Living Expenses

I think retireing outside the United States. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm going to retire in a place where "cheap" to live. Some medical facilities reasonable for the United States in the region would be better. Thinking of Costa Rica. Many places I since it was cheap, but as more and more Americans went to these places, the definition of "low cost" or "good market "has changed. While some of these places are still enough, that's what I want to pay. Moving to another country or with another partner families in similar circumstances to share the costs would not be out of question. To old to take risks, so I probably do a background check on anyone I consider to live with. I am 55 and I want to make this move in the next year. Should I visit the first site to offer and where appropriate, suggestions on how to get a real idea of the place do you suggest? My needs are few, and I prefer a place with warm weather, people earth, and not much excitement. Thank you!

You can think of Thailand. Nice friendly people with the ability of culture. Medical services are well advanced with a reasonable price. The cost of living is relatively low compared to other cities in Asia.
