The best way to get to Arenal Observatory Lodge in Costa Rica Montezuma?
Hello, I'm looking for some advice about driving in Costa Rica. I'll drive from Montezuma on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula to Arenal Observatory Lodge and I was wondering what the best route be. I looked at a map and think that I have two options. Option # 1 – Montezuma Paquera then take the ferry, then go to San Ramon, then go north on 141. Option # 2 – Montezuma Paquera and unity of the entire Gulf of Nicoya, taking Highway 21 to Highway 18 to the Route 1 to Route 142? Moreover, if there is a road that may work I would appreciate the advice. I'll be driving a small 4×4.
There are two good choices. 1) If you like the ferry that takes you through Paquera of Puntarenas. I made a couple of years. Is a large ferry. 2) Another amazing journey is to cross El Puente de la Amistad (displayed on the map here: http://www.costaricabeauty.com/ViewMap.aspx?lt=10.24264115&lo=-85.2534173&BID=326) You can take a taxi to take you through the main road in the Nicoya Peninsula by a fairly good price and the unit is incredible. We stopped and looked at wind farms went very well. I preferred the unit since the peninsula was by ferry.
