Costa Rica ranks fifth in terms of overall environmental performance in 2008 in the annual report of the EPI (Environmental Performance Index) developed by Yale and Columbia, but this small Central American country is continually being improved and has been number one for the lucky Planet Index in June 2009. The index measures the happiness of the people of this country relative to its footprint and Costa Rica was the winner.

Why Russia is not a happy place to live?
Vanuatu is the most beautiful country in the world: study LONDON (AFP) – The small archipelago Pacific Ocean south of Vanuatu is the most beautiful country in the world, according to a study in the measurement of well-being of individuals and their impact on the environment. Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica and Panama complete the five in the Happy Planet Index, prepared by the British think-tank New Economics Foundation (NEF). Index combines life satisfaction, life expectancy and environmental footprint – the amount of land required to sustain the population and absorb energy consumption. The Group of Eight industrialized nations meet in St. Petersburg, but I have to smile, according to the index. Italy came 66th in the best position ahead Germany (81), Japan (95), Britain (108), Canada (111), France (129), United States (150) and lowly 172nd place Russia. I left Russia Russia for years
Because the rate of false was made by the arrogant English. Why the poorest of corruption and drug ladden Costa Rica and Panama? Because the index is a total BS scientific perspective. Never trust the English.
