What is the area near Golfito / Costa Rica Guaria like?

I heard that the tourist areas in Costa Rica become very expensive to live (things like groceries, etc.) … Someone knows about Guaria / Golfito area? Things are at a reasonable price? What is the general area and the community …. Is it safe?

Golfito / Guaria is very tropical, Tarzan is the country so to speak. Most of the monkeys, mangoes, parrots and heated. As for prices, it is much cheaper than a place like the tourist traps of San Jose, Jaco and Quepos. Golifto is just an awesome city and I know – I love it.
