Costa Rica Golfito

What is the area near Golfito / Costa Rica Guaria like?

I heard that the tourist areas in Costa Rica become very expensive to live (things like groceries, etc.) … Someone knows about Guaria / Golfito area? Things are at a reasonable price? What is the general area and the community …. Is it safe?

Golfito / Guaria is very tropical, Tarzan is the country so to speak. Most of the monkeys, mangoes, parrots and heated. As for prices, it is much cheaper than a place like the tourist traps of San Jose, Jaco and Quepos. Golifto is just an awesome city and I know – I love it. It is fresh and local, the old style with prices based on local products. I took my two children last April to go fishing, beers were about 75 cents each, of Imperial (Costa Rica main beer) and ate in a local restaurant and the tab came to about $ 20 (including tip) of a shrimp, chicken and meat dishes, with three beers each. I bought 24 handles for less than $ 1 a local market. And a pizza 16 '(which was very good) by $ 3 (sorry, my children have a need when they saw the sign) Golfito is a village that was once a banana plantation that became a town with fishing and tourism imports as its main attraction but do not expect night life, unless you go to a local casino – 22:00 by the city is dead. Also in Golfito is (I think) is one of the few free shops in Costa Rica that result in products of South America and the world: http://www.depositodegolfito.com/ is a great place to buy things at prices that you will be amazed. As for being safe – is one of the safest cities in Costa Rica by residents give each other. I think your police department closes around 22 hours.

Travel to Golfito, Costa Rica: Casa Boruca.
