I recently returned from Panama where he was greeted by Lost Coast Explorer, a converted tight vessel 100 '. LCE acts as a mother ship and can accommodate up to 12 people. Hay (3) 25 "equipped for diving cruises, fishing and shore excursions.

Most of our adventure was spent in Panama Coiba National Park, which opened its doors to tourism in 1992. Coiba Island was a penal colony in Panama 86 years ago. Today, Coiba is to win the trophy in international attention due to the size of Blue and Black Marlin attending the legendary Hannibal Bank. In addition to fishing, diving Coiba is, surfers, researchers and eco-tourists from around the world.

Fishing, diving and surfing are world-class Coiba. In the last day of our trip, a member of our £ 1,000 + caught a black marlin. Always remember the look of astonishment on his face when he realized he had lost his bait. Other target species Coiba yellowfin yachts, Skip Jack, Jack Travalle, Barracuda and grouper.

I had the ultimate pleasure of diving in some of the coral reefs of the most intact and pinnacles that I never seen. There was no evidence that anyone had visited these places before us. manta rays, white tip sharks and green sea turtles seem unperturbed our presence. Whale sharks frequent these waters from September to January.

Coiba is beginning to appear on the radar screen for more adventurous travelers. Fact Interestingly, very few have visited Panama Coiba. Its history as a colony penis was an omen for the local destination.

For an exquisite contrast I propose to Coiba spend a few nights in the valley. The valley is a small mountain village located halfway between Santiago and Panama City. The city is located in an old volcano crater. It is much cooler at this point. I stayed at Eden Park, a beautiful Bed and Breakfast in the city. The reasons are that the park Anglophone and homeowners. If you go, lunch at the restaurant Bruschetta. I suggest the clams in a wonderful broth served in a clay pot.

Also do not miss the historic Casco Viejo, or Old Town. It is the historic district and offers an interesting view of the past in Panama.

Do not worry about currency conversions. Panama uses the U.S. currency. My flight to Panama City was very reasonable, only $ 325 RT from Los Angeles.
