Need advice Travel – Honeymoon!?

My boyfriend does not seem to agree on what we want to take a vacation honeymoon. The Both want to stay in the Caribbean well. Our total budget for airfare and lodging is about $ 1,500 for five nights (June 22-27). He wants to be close to rainforest and I want to be on the beach. We do not want to be in a hotel or resort in the international chain (ie Hilton etc..) Do not need a lot of amenities but the location must be clean and new-ish. Help? (So far, we have examined Jamaica Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and the U.S. Virgin Islands) We want a relaxing stay in the us to interact with people. There must have understood that whatsoever. Airfare and accommodation packages would be great!

El Conquistador has a private island which is wonderful. These hotels tend to be expensive, but June is low season in the Caribbean so you can get a better price. Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States so you do not need to buy a passport and water and food are good to eat. Also its very safe Travel, go to local places and mingle with people.
